PL/SQL equivalent of "pause"

Anyone know how to have a PL/SQL program (anonymous block) pause, either indefinately or for a specified amount of time (x seconds)?

THere's a proc in DBMS_LOCK, I know . . . but that suspends processing -- not exactly the same as Pausing it.
