Hi Stephen,
Indeed my names servers (2) are running fine, and both are using the same Oracle regional database processing requests as they should. I'm just wondering why I have this error message?
Services does not seem to be a command but dumping the services to a file showed me a whole list of services (I loaded these also) I'll attach the output from the status command. All looks OK but I'm no expert (yet :-) )
Any Ideas
TIA Jack van Zanen

Jack:
It appears that the names server is up and running. Try this:
1. Invoke the namesctl utility from a dos prompt. 2. Type "services" (I think) to see what service names are processed. 3. Type "status" to see the status of the names server.
Thank You
