cursor not closing

Hi,

We have a Application that user JDBC thin client connecting to Oracle database.
It seems like java code is opening the cursor , running some sql but not closing
the cusrsor.
Now the number of open_cursor reached 3568 . Is there any way we can close cursor from sqlplus.
