Hi
We have to go to 8.1.6.3 'cause we're using a case tool be CA (Computer Associates) and that's the Oracle version they support.
In our cluster environment, we're not using OPS but a single instance which fails over a second node.
Our first ideas (which are not acceptable) were import/export or using a tool like pdqout to extract all data as ascii and the use sqlloader (direct path) to load the data into a new 8163 database.
But the migration utility seems very interesting especially with regards to the downtime.
Could you please provide me with some more info about the "ODMA". I appreciate a lot.
Thanks once again for your valuable feedback
regards
mark
