Arslan - Yes, I agree with Bunyamin. I perform weekly analyzes on my OLTP
databases. This allows me to create a history of table growth for capacity
projections. I have found a weekly measure of table rows is a reasonable
balance between the ability to catch unexpected events and the effort
required. Also, it is easier to remember that other time intervals, like
every 10 days, for example. However, when you first put a new application
into production, you may want to analyze it more frequently. I would
recommend Burleson's book Oracle High-Performance Tuning with STATSPACK for
scripts that will help you implement this.

It is due to your data change. If small number of of data change occurs you
may need to do it monthly . But
I have read somewhere that Analyze is recommended for every week for oltp
databases.
Bunyamin
What is the recommended frequency of analyzing schemas in an OLTP environment?
DB size near 8 GB. Oracle 8.1.7.0.0 on NT 4.
