I agree with you, Charlie. The fact that an Oracle release is relatively new doesn't mean it's riddled with bugs (although that was once the case); neither does the fact that it's been out for 12 months or so mean that there aren't any show-stoppers lurking within.

I've made the case before that 9i should be considered more as if it were 8.2. Yes, it's new, and yes, you should test and verify carefully, but it's not as large a leap as going from Oracle7 to Oracle8, for example.
