Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: test schema from prod
The big question here is ...... is it a full copy of production Test Schema .... or do you want to cut your data down by X percent. Also, is it on the same instance or a different instance ?
If its a full copy an export/import would work . If its different boxes just export it from one instance and import it to the other. If its the same instance, export it and then re-import it to a different schema. Be VERY careful here about public synonyms .
If its a small set of tables you could always just use the SQLPlus copy command.
There are various ways .... Depending on your setup and what you need.
