You would think so, wouldn't you. But with macro viruses and the like these days, most virus scanning software that I am aware of will, by default, scan all files.

Why do you scan data files with no excutable option? You have to scan executable and scripting files - not Oracle data files. It's the same like to scan pure txt files.
