Oracle will always generate redo, but nologging will limit the redo generate, as long as it meets the criteria for nologging.

Hi,

I'm running the following command:

insert into owner1.table1 nologging (select * from owner2.table2);

There is no indices or constraints on table owner1.table1, yet oracle is generating redo logs for this transaction. Does anyone know why?
