8.1.7.1 new bug

It appears that a fix included in 8.1.7.1 (1410679) broke something else. If you have precompiler applications, you could encounter a number of problems mentioned in the 8.1.7.2 readme.

I sure am seeing a lot of core dumps under 8.1.7.1, but surely there must be someone else who has come across this and has some experience to share?

PS: The fix mentioned in 8.1.7.2 (ie recompile/relink) does not make any difference.
