This is
dbwr_io_slave process...it invokes when your param dbwr_io_slaves = 1.
You may get more info through metalink by putting this param in search.. I found document Doc ID: 47326.1 for further details...

We have a client that has ora_i###_SID processes that are consuming CPU time. I was asked what caused these processes. Does anyone know. I have looked on Metalinks and found nothing to clue me in. This is for an 8.1.6 db running on Sun 2.7.
Thanks,
Terry
