did not mention what is the version of Oracle 8i. I am assuming it is higher than Oracle 815. In this case do the following steps.

1.
Take export of the schema using exp from Oracle 815. To do this , you can connect to your source database using a connect string thru tnsnames.

2.
Once you have the dmp file, then use the imp of Oracle 815 to do import into Oracle 815.
