on a
side note, Informix has a feature that lets you define a table which references
a flat file in unix. This allows them to bypass the buffer cache and
facilitate fast table loads. I believe I read that this will be in Oracle
9 also, but I can't find the references at this time. Anyone have more
info?

addition to sqlldr and the answer as far as I know is
no.
