Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: row count in table ?
Or if your tables are all analyzed and you want a rough answer (faster but less accurate)
select table_name , num_rows from dba_tables where owner='&schema';
You might want to round the num_rows.
Again, only as good as the last analyze - when it was done and estimate vs
compute.

Bruce

set heading stuff off
spool tblcount.sql
select
'select count(*) from ' || tablename || ' ;' from
data_dictionary_table
where
schema = 'the one you want';
spool off
@tblcount.sql
