Hi, all
I have a database running oracle8.1.6 on HP-UX 11 (64 bit). We enable file system buffer on OS level. I think bypassing the filesystem buffer will improve performance because right now, both oracle and the filesystem are performing this operation.

If I am right, should I turn off file system buffer only for data, index segments, how about system, rollback segs. and temporary

segs. ?
Any suggestion are very welcomed, and any website talking about this? because I have to convince my SA guys.

thanks in advance.
