Import issue..

Hi List,

I've two databases like this,

Oracle version 8.1.6 running on sun solaris 2.7
Oracle version 8.0.5 running on sun solarsi 2.6

When I tried importing a dump of 8.1.6 into the 8.0.5 version it didn't go thro. I got the following errors

IMP-00010: not a valid export file, header failed verification
IMP-00021: operating system error - error code (dec 2, hex 0x2)
IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully

I thought its because of the wrong mode of file transfer and did it again. But again I got this error. Is this kind of downward compatibility on sun is not allowed??
