Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Q: v8.1.7: What is the Paging Server ?
Playing around with Win2000 and the Services Control Panel I noticed that the Oracle installer installed a service named "Paging Server".
Now the name kinda makes it obvious what it does, or maybe not, but there does not seem to be any documentation about how to use it. I have checked the:
Oracle Docs CD
Knowledge Base
Message Boards
All to no avail.
I am a pre-newbe DBA, so any help you guys can give is greatly appreciated.
