Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Re: How can you have 2 default_domain's in sqlnet.ora
Ruth,
You probably have an answer by now.
I had the same problem, and took the names.default_domain parameter out of the
sqlnet.ora file, and also removed the domain portion of the net service name
(in the tnsnames.ora file) . This worked for us but on the other hand, the
servers here are all reachable from each other (even without appending the
specific domain names)
I've never hear of having more than one names.default.domain. Did that really work?

Dear Guru's,
We have to have some of our users also be users on another system. The
folks who are running this system said we should add another
NAMES.DEFAULT_DOMAIN= NEW_DOMAIN
to our sqlnet.ora for these users.
The default_domain is already specified in their sqlnet.ora as the domain for our databases. How can we point to both domains?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
