Your skepticism is healthy, but Metalink is not:-) 8.1.7.1 is the latest patch AFAIK.

Metalink shows that there is no patch available for 8.1.7 on NT. Is that correct or am I needing a vacation? I hate to be cynical, but an Oracle product with no patch for 3 months? This I find hard to believe.
