Can Oracle7 and Oracle8 co-exist?

Hi,

I want to install Oracle 8.1.7 on the same AIX 4.3.2 box which is already running
Oracle 7.3.4.5. I will use a separate Oracle owner and Oracle home for the new 8.1.7 software.

Has anybody had any problems with these two versions co-existing on the same platform? I have them both installed now but before I spend a lot of time trying to break it I thought I'd check to see whether or not this has worked out at other sites.
