Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> 8i release 2 patchsets
Hi,
Have any of you encountered problems with any of the 8.1.6. patchsets?
The oracle-ftp.oracle.com directories go up to 8.1.6.1.1.4, but there =
is no
executable there, only the readme.txt file.
Have you encountered problems while patching from 8.1.6.0.0. to =
8.1.6.1.1.,
then to 8.1.6.1.3?
The first thing I noticed is that you can no longer migrate older =
databases
after applying 8.1.6.1.1., that means we have to migrate to 8.1.6.0.0 =
and
then patch.
TIA

It has command line switches that you can use to run it, and we have written a VBScript file that we run with the Windows Scheduler to run at certain times, and it also has a function that generates the current date, and uses it as part of the file name of the .zip file that gets created. I have attached a copy of our VBScript file, slightly modified (removed our system specific information is all) for youReceived on Mon Dec 04 2000 - 09:39:03 CST
