Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: DBWR process terminated - KCF:write/open error
Hi John,
There is enough swap space and there are no errors in errpt..
I found a note in metalink (still waiting for their answer), 117922.1 =
wich
points out that there is a problem with AIX async IO, and they suggest =
some
changes to be done to the kernel..
I already made the changes and I am trying the import again..
I'll let you know how it goes...
Saludos,

Veronica,
Just a thought.=20
(a) Check that there is adequate swap space (by default some AIX =
servers
create only 64M of swap and you run out of it pretty fast since disk =
i/o
also involves swap)
(b) Check for any errors in the syslog - (via 'errpt -a') at that time.
