Precise, OEMed through EMC is the only monitoring process integrated = with the SYMAPI which is the only thing that allows you to see exactly = what is going on in the EMC array. Precise also gets its stats by = reading the SGA rather than by executing SQL which means you can sample = at a higher rate without affecting the statistics you are trying to = measure.

We are looking at Precise (Pulse) and Quest (I/Watch) as remote = monitoring clients for Oracle db.
Any thoughts or experiences with either product, or a product that we = may not have looked at, other than OEM v2? =20
