Does anyone know of a good book/site/article on RMAN? I am trying to
configure it using one server as my RMAN repository and then registering the
other various databases on our network - I can connect to these servers
through DBA-Studio, toad, and other products, but I can't seem to get RMAN
to see them. I think I finally got RMAN to see the new DB server, but now I
am getting this error:
ORA-01031 insufficient privelages
I was using system to connect - what am I missing? The RMAN repository is TEMPORARILY on an NT machine running 8.1.6 connecting to a solaris target running the same version.
And it seems like Metalink is not working quite right for me at the moment.
