-----Original Message----- From: Adam Turner [SMTP:ATurner_at_concreteinc.com] Sent: Wednesday, November 15, 2000 3:06 PM To: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L Subject: Oracle and "Full Text Indexing" There is a MSFT SQL Server feature called full text indexing. Basically allowing for easy searching of text and varchar fields by building word indexes outside of the standard SQL Server tablespaces. Is there a similar tool in Oracle? I guess a last resort would be to build your own word indexes in Oracle ... but some sort of handy built in function or package would be nice. it's 8.1.6=20 thanks ...
