RE: error installing oracle8 personal edition v8.0.4 in Win ME

I'm sure I've seen that error before, but I don't remember if that is the orainst error or something else.

You might try getting the latest installer from OTN. It may just not recognize Win ME.

i'm trying to install oracle8 personal edition v8.0.4 in Win Millenium
(ME) edition and i got the ff: error

 rdbms 80.vrf [855]. unbound variable install_type orainst has caused an error in msvcrt.dll

if either one of these error appear, the installation is aborted.

what shall i do?
