It bombs out this error when one of your user tried to create an index =
on
USERS tablespace and there were not enough room... :P
before the index segments got created fully, Oracle marked it as TEMP
segment first. Once it is fully created, its status changed from TEMP t=
o
INDEX. But if there are not enough space during that process, it will g=
ive
out error that it cannot increase the TEMP segment on USERS tablespace.=

My alertlog has an occasional entry that says "ORA-01652 Unable to
extend temp
segment by 192 in tablespace USERS."
But if I select temporary_tablespace, username from sys.dba_users - = no
user has
USERS as its temporary_tablespace.=A0 How is this happening?
