Security is a big issue at the site I'm on now, but it's hard to get the
specialists together on an issue like this. For now, all database links are
behind a firewall, so securing them is not a very big thing. Nevertheless,
I'm very curious about this. I'm trying to find out if I can secure an
SQL*Net session by SSL (Secure Socket Layer), but Oracle Support (Holland)
didn't know anything about it. :-(
Now I'm going by VeriSign, but no success yet...
Indeed it looks like everyone is talking about security, but no one has it working. Still, al internet lines are constantly monitored by hackers - nothing better to do?? - and if they see an opening, they use it.
