Here's the security-issue again. For cloning the database, you need to have some kind of link between the databases. You have one inside, and one outside the firewall. How do you secure the connection between the databases, and the external one and the outside world?

As I put to the list before, it looks like VeriSign has a good solution, but I cannot figure it out in relation to SQL*Net or Web-access to a database.
