We've been using Oracle on Redhat for quite some time. 8.1.5 is a little
quirky, but 8.1.6 on Redhat 6.2 works just fine. I've had no problems.
We're currently running it on everything from E-machines with 128mb of memory to VA-Linux machines with 2gb of memory. Personally, I'd recommend VA-Linux over E-machines. :>)
