RE: Oracle 8.0.5Your bugs may vary, but mine revolve around:
"Database xyz does not support function abc in this context" when doing =
a distributed
(dblink) query in two 8.1.6 databases when running in CBO. These are =
queries created by
Discoverer, over which we have no control. Running in CBO is a real =
drag. Of course it's fixed
in 8.1.7.
Ora-600 when accessing partitioned tables with one or more empty =
partitions and statistics.
Ora-600 on partitioned tables which aren't empty but have statistics.
These are both fix in Oracle 8.1.7.
You betcha!
Could you please give some examples of bugs that you encountered.=20

If you upgrade to 8, then upgrade to 8.0.6. It's supported, for now.=20
The best I've heard about Oracle 8i is that it is no buggier than =
Oracle 8.=20
Of course it's got a bunch more features and those have bugs in them.=20
I do not have any money making databases running at 8.1.6 yet, as I am =
using 8.1.6 for reporting and non-critical databases, just to get my =
feet wet.=20
I'm eagerly awaiting 8.1.7, as the bugs in 8.1.6 which prevent me from =
running=20
in CBO are slated to be fixed in 8.1.7.=20
We're a two DBA company and we average opening up two TARs a week,=20
all on problems with 8.1.6. Because of this, my production databases =
