Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: Broadcasting from Oracle
No direct method to notify Forms clients from the database.
Coding required on both Forms and database side using either DBMS_ALERT or
pipes, timers etc.
Not an elegant solution.

Subject: Broadcasting from Oracle
Is there anyway to send a broadcast from the Database ( Oracle 8i ) to all client connections (forms v-5.0) in a client server environment ?
