Ravi,
If you have a service named OracleStartSID, then you can set this service to automatic. When you boot, it will start and will also start the service OracleServiceSID. Then your database will be started.
If you do not have the service OracleStartSID, then you will have to use oradim80 to create it.

You can recreate the instance with a new internal password. This will also create new password file.

Subject: Autostart at boottime-Oracle8
Hello,
For security reasons i have changed the internal password with the help of
ORAPWD80. After that whenever i restart the server, oracle is not auto
started and i have to start it explicitly. I am using Oracle8 ver 8.0.5 on
NT 4.0. I have checked the registry but not finding any variable to set for
autostart at boot. What should i try to make it autostart at bootime. Please
help.
Bye
Ravi.
