OAS idle sessions

I need information on handling idle sessions connected to the Web server.
This session remains in the database even if the user completes an exit from
the application and closes the Browser.  The session is removed when the OAS
is bounced.  There must be some oracle parameter or something within the
Apps server which can be set to control these processes.
