Sites like this trouble me. We all complain that the OCP exam is not a fair measure of ability. One thing common in the MCSE world is a "brain dump", a web site where people post the questions they were asked in the live exams, with answers that they've looked up later. Since questions are drawn from a limited pool, this makes it easy for candidates to simply memorise question answers - which is far worse than actually memorizing the names of the system tables, from the point of view of eventual competence.
I did my MCSE and OCP ages ago, but this isn't just me grumbling that "kids these days have it easy". The fact is simply that the emphasis has been shifted since then to "passing exams" rather than "learning the subject". This does nothing but devalue the qualification.
Given that eventually, a vendor cert will become the baseline that employers require (for example, a friend of mine is a headhunter, and her clients are *insisting* on Sun certified programmers) it is in Oracle's long term best interests to ensure that the OCP DBA programme is more rigorous than MCDBA.
