When I took the OCP exams I found the most helpful thing to be my understanding of Oracle's architecture--not that I am a guru or anything. Knowing how Oracle worked internally enabled me to "figure out" answers to questions that I had never encountered before. Instead of spending their money on a certification guide, people should just read the Concepts manual.
