Hi All,

I have been doing a point in time recovery.

We had an online backup all datafiles backed up on 17/5 we restored all datafiles and started the database in mount mode Then we issued the command
recover database until time '2000-05-18:12:00:00' Oracle started the recovery and we hit enter for the suggested archived redo log files.
after a while Oracle came back with the message

ORA-01547: warning: RECOVER succeeded but OPEN RESETLOGS would get error below.
ORA-01194:file 1 needs more recovery to be consistent
ORA-0110: data file 1: E:\ORANT\DATABASE\SYS1FCBP.ORA'

What could be the problem here
I checked that this file was restored from an old tape (17/5/2000)

Jack
