Objects for OLE

I am a Consultant for the Alabama Department of Transportation. The DOT is in the process of updating their database system. The proposed configuration is to run DB2 on the mainframe, with Oracle on the Server and Access on the PC level. We have been considering using ODBC, but Oracle Objects for OLE has been recommended as a possible alternative. Does anyone have any experience with Objects for OLE in this environment? I am particularly interested in finding a company and/or government agency within a 200-250 mile radius of Tuscaloosa, AL (this would basically include Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and the Florida panhandle).

Thank You,

Deanne Moore
