I have a problem with my oracle database. I am on a dg with Oracle 7.1.6.2. I
was creating a number of tablespaces this afternoon and during one of them the
pmon process crashed. Now after shutting down the instance and trying to
bring it up I am getting errors that it cannot write the trc files. Nothing
has changed on the server or within oracle so I have no idea how to fix the
problem. I can't open the database, I can't recover it. Has anyone ever
seen this message or had this problem? Any help would be appreciated. The
error I am getting is ORA-07497: sdpri: cannot create trace file .
Thanks.
