One must keep in mind that Novell networks' multiple Orcale instances are NOT supported if the Network is running on IPX/SPX protocol. This is clearly stated in Oracle's Server User's Guide for Netware. This is true in Oracle v.7.1 also. If yoy have TCP/IP, then multiple Oracles can be run, but from v.7.1 and up.

Unfortunately this is not true, I am running 3 instances concurrently on a Netware server using Oracle 7.1 AND IPX/SPX. To do this you must also be running SQLNET 2.
