1874 SENIOR PROGRAMMER ANALYST INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES
APPOINTMENT: Provisional (Temporary-Full-Time), Non-Civil Service appointment pending a Civil Service examination for permanent appointment in the classification.
SALARY RANGE: $1756.00 - $2135.00 Bi-weekly $45,832.00 - $55,724.00 Annually (There is a 3% increase)

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under general direction, the appointee will interface closely with the District's Business Office and provide senior level technical support for the implementation of City College of San Francisco's (CCSF) mission on critical state-of-the-art business systems. The initial assignment will be to provide leadership in implementing and developing the CCSF Payroll application to its fullest potential. This will involve gaining a strong analytical understanding of the basic Payroll operation, assessing Payroll user requirements and system specifications, documenting and developing procedures, programming and QA.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university; Major coursework in computer science or related field is desirable; and
Experience: At least three (3) years of verifiable experience in use of Oracle tools and UNIX. A minimum of two (2) years must be involved in performing the duties of a programmer analyst.
Substitution: Up to two additional verifiable years in Oracle or payroll application environment may be substituted for the required education as follows: One year (2000 hours) is equivalent to 30 semester/45 quarter units. Two years (60 semester/90 quarter units) of college course work is an absolute requirement for which no substitution will be allowed.
Additional Desired Experience:
a. Strong skills and aptitude for developing and maintaining inter-personal
relations with major users
b. Familiarity with business analysis techniques and methods. c. Working knowledge of microcomputer system using Windows. d. Work experience in an educational institution. e. Work experience in an HPUX ENVIRONMENT. f. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
