      You really haven't provided enough info for more than very specific comments such as make sure you have sufficient disk space and if you don't have root access that someone who has does those things which require root access does those things first. Just as a general principle I would say allow more time than you expect so that you are not rushed--a sure way to make mistakes. You can let the install program do a lot of things by default including creating the database and if you are not very sure about what you are doing and have the time to reinstall after doing this you can use it as a learning experience.
