MAC vs. PowerPC

I heard that the PowerPC and the MAC require different FMX's,
(much like a IBM PC and a MAC do) does anyone know if this is true?



So this would mean that an FMB must be loaded onto a PowerPC and
generated, and also loaded on a MAC and generated to create the
2 FMX's?
