I think I ran into this problem years ago with a V6 database (but installation was to an RS/6000 AIX 3.1)...? Can it be a similar problem?

I seem to remember finding another copy of libora.a & adding it into a makefile to work around the problem... Don't know how I remember this. It must've been 5 years ago...
