Oracle-L: Oracle 7.1.6.2 installation

HELP I'm in contact with Oracle support but they haven't any solution yet.

I'm trying to install 7.1.6.2 from CD onto an IBM RS6000 SP2 running AIX 3.2.5.

Following instructions exactly during the file 'copying' I keep getting a missing /oracle_link/lib/libora.a file but checking the directories and I find it ok. I can also copy the file manually without any problems.

Has anybody encountered this problem with the CD release on ANY platform?

Has anybody successfully loaded on the IBM SP2 platform from a media other than CD? I have put in an urgent request for an 8mm cartridge copy in the hope its something to do with the CD.

Any help appreciated.
