Cutting edge opportunity waits database expert! Etagon is a NJ-based startup developing exciting database technologies for telecommunication, retailing, manufacturing and financial industries. We seek exceptional database expert to push the boundaries of database technologies. As part of this group you'll be working on some of the hottest features of our flagship product.
The position is suited for highly motivated and energetic individuals with a desire to work on next generation database product. You will apply your deep database understanding to design and develop new database algorithms and architecture.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION
· Reports to VP Engineering directly for the applications of database
algorithms
· Create and implement database algorithms
· Guide software development team to implement database algorithms
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS (SPECIFIC DURING NEXT 6-12 MONTHS)
· Deliver proven and implementable database algorithms to accelerate
product performance
· Recognized as the focal point of all technical knowledge
· Able to apply core technologies for other use and applications
· Success in working with partners to co-develop technical product and
intellectual properties
ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS REQUIRED/SOUGHT
· Deep understanding of database algorithms and implementation
· C or C++ database algorithms implementation experience
· Excellent knowledge in parallel and distributed computing
architecture
· Inside-out industrial data-mining, decision support system and OLAP
design and implementation
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work independently; self-motivated
· Ability to participate and interact effectively on team
· Flexibility
· Ability to multitask
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer
Engineering
