Hi John,

If you do a: dir /x in the directory above the one you're trying to write into, you should see a column in your directory listing, that contains a short DOS-type name for the directory. It's probably something like: aa~1 You could try to use this short name instead of the full name with the space in it. This usually works. My personal experience with Oracle on Microsoft systems is that one usually encounters problems when trying to use long file- or dirnames. So when creating dirs/files that need to be accessed by Oracle, it is mostly good practice to use the 'old' 8.3 naming convention. This is not applicable to Oracle on unix/linux offcourse....
