Stop writing JAVA. You have no idea what you are going to do with it.

  1. Design the system you would like to have one year from now and do not once use the name of, or refer to, any existing system.
  2. Determine if any system you currently have will fit into that design as is or if it will require modification or replacement.
  3. Tackle the systems in order of priority set forth by management. And when I say "by management" make them give you their priorities.

I agree with Sybrand ... you are already, it seems, heading down the road to a failed project.
