I'm not sure, but I think you need to run some IMP/EXP compatibility scripts ? In Oracle 7, migrationg from 6, you had to sometime run scripts like CATEXP6.sql etc...
But Maybe it was only to be able to export a release 7 DB from an release 6 export executable. Which is not the case.
Normally, import is upward compatible I think, if you exported with oracle6 export, you should be able to import with oracle 7,8,9 but there might be peculiarities, or you might have to specify some parameters. Received on Fri Mar 05 2004 - 14:04:38 CST
