ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1

I get the above message plus ORA-00942: table or view does not exist when I
try an update a row on a table in my database.



The table exists and I'm not sure why this is happening.




I'm running on a Sun Solaris 8 using Oracle 8.1.7.4
